Whilst Item13 is my favorite African Food Podcast, the brand-new VA Tourism show hosted by Kojo-Bentum Williams is my favorite African Travel and Tourism Podcast.
Voyages Afriq is a Travel and Tourism media with a compelling interest in promoting Africa to the World. They do so by providing comprehensive and credible information about the continent’s tourism industry through their flagship publication the “Voyages Afriq Travel and Tourism Magazine” but also through their brand-new products: The Tourism News Wrap and the VA Tourism Podcast.
I like to refer to the passionate team of Voyages Afriq as the “movers and shakers” when it comes to proudly showcasing the continent’s tourism potential.
The CEO & Publisher of Voyages Afriq Kojo-Bentum Williams and I virtually connected on Twitter in January 2019 but were able to meet in real life in February 2020 here in Abidjan at the UNWTO Global Tourism Investment Forum in Africa. It was an international event that welcomed over 800 delegates comprised of public officials, investors and travel and tourism experts. I was equally delighted to meet Symphorien Kouabilé, the co-founder of Voyages Afriq and truly honored to meet the UNWTO Secretary General Zurab Pololikashvili.
The Voyages Afriq Tourism Podcast dedicated to Africa’s Travel and Tourism Industry in which leaders from both the private and public sectors have really insightful conversations with Kojo.
Launched in July 2020, there are already 5 episodes available on the show and here is one of my favorite:
I was recently interviewed by Kojo & during our conversation, we touched on the following points:
- My journey with Food & how Afrofoodie was born
- My journey with Tourism and how I fell in love with this industry
- My desire to promote the culinary heritage of Côte d’Ivoire to the world
- The reasons why African destinations must make Gastronomy part of their tourism offerings.
Hope you enjoy the show & let me know what you think about The Voyages Afriq Tourism Podcast !
