When I launched the 1st food blog of Côte d’Ivoire back in 2012, I really had simple goals : exploring, sharing and of course tasting amazing cuisines throughout my city. There was nothing online {websites and/or blogs } pertaining to the Abidjan’s food scene and the “Journal d’une Foodie” which translate to a Foodie’s Diary {1st name of the blog} seemed a suitable solution to this problem.
As time went by, I became more and more curious about the “Behind the scenes” of restaurants. We all know the drill; you go to a restaurant, you order your food, the meal arrive, you take pictures of it for 5 good minutes straight {or is it just me?}, you enjoy every bite and you call it a day. If you had a really good time and depending on your mood you might leave a review on Trip Advisor or Google Local Guides.
That’s great. But I wanted to know the story of the Chefs behind the restaurants and the pretty Instagrammable dishes; I basically wanted learn and share their Food ‘Stories.
So, what is Food’Story?
A series of video interviews featuring Ivorian and African food bloggers, chefs and content creators. My 1st guests were Prisca Gilbert and Moulaye Fanny and I am happy to introduce my 3rd guest: Grace Houffouet.
Meet Grace Houffouet

Grace Houffouet is young and remarkably talented. She just graduated from the Institut Paul Bocuse, the distinguished International School of Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Food Service Management.
In her cuisine, Grace only uses high quality ingredients “Made in Côte d’Ivoire” after having carefully selected them herself.
She is definitely a force to be reckoned with and without further ado, here is Grace’s Food’story.
