Eating Healthy in Abidjan | Looking for healthy cuisine in the city ?

As I grow older, I am more and more interested in developing heathy habits. For example, I am more conscious about my daily water intake, the number of steps I have to make even on a slow – I am lazy at home – day and definitely in my diet as well.

Now let me start off by saying that It’s far from being perfect and I definitely do enjoy a good slice of cheesecake every now and then. In Abidjan, there are far more options when it comes to healthy cuisine than there were 5 years ago for example. I remember blogging about that last year and believe me…the number of catering services and nutritious menus have grown exponentially.

Here are my latest discoveries when it comes to Eating Healthy in Abidjan !
Le Lunch Box Abidjan | Eating Healthy in Abidjan

Le Lunch Box has been launched in 2019 by Dédé. She is nutritionist who used to live in Canada and recently move to Côte d’Ivoire. She created Le Lunch Box because she realized that only a few people were aware of the impact of eating habits on their health and she wanted to change that. She came up with the idea of offering personalized diet meals not only for those who wanted to eat healthy ( like me 🙋🏽‍♀️ ) but also for those who wanted to lose weight, for people with diabetes and even athletes.

What I love about Le Lunch Box is that Dédé goes the extra mile. She only uses locally sourced products, offers a healthy drink with the meal and the boxes she uses are biodegradable.

Her boxes cost 10 000 CFA Francs or 18 USD and can be delivered wherever in the city.

Yummy Box | Eating Healthy in Abidjan

As I write this, my yummy boxes are on their way to my house. I think it is safe to say that this business is one of the newest in the city as it was launched in May of this year. The lady behind it is a dietician and her goal is to cater to those who again want to adopt a healthier lifestyle. She offers both lunch and dinner menus with drinks as well.

How does it work?

At the beginning of every week she shares the new menu on her Instagram feed along with appealing pictures in order for her customers to place their orders. One box cost 9000 CFA Francs or 15 USD and that includes a drink and the delivery.

With all these options, eating healthy in Abidjan has never been easier!

Have you also tried to implement healthier habits? If so, I would love to hear about it!
