2022 started on a really good note for me. Indeed if you recall, I had shared the news of my exciting collaboration with the narrative change organization Africa No Filter as a Narrative Champion. Thanks to this partnership, I launched the “Taste of…series” - a series of content showcasing the diversity of African cuisines in West Africa.
It’s a culinary journey that started right here in Abidjan with « Taste of Côte d’Ivoire » and then continued in Dakar with « Taste of Senegal ».

First Ivorian Ambassador appointed for the World Food Travel Association
I am pleased to announce that I have another exciting news to share.
I recently became an Ambassador in Côte d’Ivoire for the World Food Travel Association (WFTA).
For those of you who may not be familiar with the WFTA, it is a non-profit and non-governmental organization founded in 2003. Regarded as the World’s leading authority on food and beverage tourism, the WFTA serves a community of nearly 200,000 people from 150 countries.
Their mission is to preserve and promote the awareness of culinary cultures through hospitality and tourism.
This collaboration is truly important to me for several reasons :
- Their mission and mine, especially at this point in time of my journey, fully align. For the past 10 years, my mission has been to shift the African narrative through the variety of its cuisines as well as to promote Gastronomy tourism in Côte d’Ivoire and in West Africa.
- It's another opportunity to raise the awareness of the Ivorian culinary culture and heritage but this time within the network of the Association and beyond.
- I consider my role as an Ambassador in Côte d’Ivoire for the World Food Travel Association as an additional chance to uplift others with me by sharing their food stories, amplifying their voices and their work so that the other culinary enthusiasts may gain a deeper understanding of our culinary landscape and flavors.
