I am happy to introduce the "Taste of...series" by Afrofoodie. A new series of content promoting African Gastronomy and our rich culinary heritage in Francophone West Africa.
This new series is brought to you by yours truly in collaboration with Africa No Filter : a narrative change organization that supports the development of nuanced and contemporary stories about the African continent.
I am looking forward to taking you on a journey not only to deepen your knowledge about the culinary culture of Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal but also to share with you the best of the street food.
In addition, I will host a series of conversations about African Gastronomy with talented young Chefs and restaurant owners, proud ambassadors of our cuisines around the world.

THE FIRST EPISODE OF TASTE OF CÔTE D’IVOIRE
I can’t tell you how excited I am about the first episode of Taste of Côte d’Ivoire. Not only because my team & I have been working on this project for a couple of months now but also because it features one of my absolute foodie places in Abidjan : Africafe 💛
SOME SALT, SOME SUGAR & LOTS OF LOVE
Africafé is a coffee shop rooted in African culture and flavors. What I love the most about Africafé is the fact that it offers delicious food options at any given time of the day. For example, it could be a kenyan coffee at breakfast, a dish from Tombouctou at lunch time or a hibiscus cheesecake in the afternoon for a snack.

DJÉNÉ : THE OWNER OF AFRICAFÉ
Once you meet Djéné, you can’t help but fall in love with her personality. Her positive energy is simply contagious.
She stays true to herself in everything she does, just like in our conversation : genuine and authentic. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
